Under 25 characters isn't saved. That floor stops Lifeboat from hoarding every search box and one-word reply. Pro lets you change it, anywhere from 1 to 200 characters.
Give it about two seconds. Lifeboat saves when you pause typing, when you leave the field, and when you leave the page.
Was the site paused? Open Lifeboat and check whether the button in the top right says "Resume".
Was the tab already open when you installed? Freshly installed extensions can't reach tabs opened beforehand. Lifeboat tries to inject itself, but a reload settles it.
Password and payment fields are never saved. That is deliberate and cannot be switched on.
The rescue card didn't appear
It only appears when Lifeboat is confident something was genuinely lost:
the field held at least 25 words, the text is under a day old, you weren't the
one deleting it, and you hadn't dismissed the card for that field in the last
24 hours. Sending a message in a chat box is understood as sending, not losing,
so no card appears.
Your text is still saved either way — open Lifeboat from the toolbar and
press Restore there.
Restore put my text on the clipboard instead
That happens when the original field no longer exists on the page — the site
changed, or you're on a different page now. Paste it wherever you need it.
I bought Pro and the boats are still locked
Paste the key into the drawer (the ⚙ icon), then press Activate.
Keys work on up to 5 browsers. If you've hit that, email support and I'll reset it.
Lost your key? Email support from the address you bought with.
How do I delete everything Lifeboat saved?
Remove the extension. Everything it stored goes with it, because nothing was
ever stored anywhere else. To stop it on one site only, open Lifeboat there and
press Pause.
Is my typing sent anywhere?
No. Details in the privacy policy — short version: your text
never leaves your computer, and the only request Lifeboat can make is checking a
Pro licence key you chose to enter.
